Did you know that?

  • You must never put the meat in the microwave. Not even on the defrost setting.
  • You must not defrost the meat next to a window or another warm place but rather in the fridge.
  • The lighter the meat, the more fat it contains.
  • A dog needs fat in order to have energy.
  • A dog does not get worms from eating meat. In fact, the opposite is true. Eating meat changes the acid in the stomach meaning that worm eggs have a much smaller chance of surviving and so will never become worms.
  • Dental plaque is not a result of not enough chewing. It can occur as a result of poor digestion causing the growth of bacteria that adhere to the teeth.
  • An occasional natural chewing bone is good for your dog’s mental condition.
  • Your dog will not suddenly start killing game or other animals because he eats fresh meat.
  • It is better not to let your dog swim in standing water when the weather is hot.
  • Your dog can get diarrhoea if you feed it too much.
  • If your dog produces a lot of faeces then you are either feeding it too much or it is not digesting its food well enough, and so the food is not suitable for your dog.
  • If your dog has hard, granular faeces then it is best to supplement its food with some vegetable oil (sunflower oil for example).
  • Puppies need a lot of fish. So give them one of the fish-based varieties of fresh meat 3 times a week because the omega 3,6,9 fatty acids are important for their health.
  • Your dog’s faeces says a lot about its health. So have a look at it regularly.
